Realistic Turtle Painting by Rachet777 Realistic Turtle Painting by Rachet777
My latest project!
Based off of this photograph I took. [link]
I'm actually kinda surprised it turned out so well. It's.. like my first realistic turtle painting. It's all watercolor, by the way.
This is also my entry for the World Turtle Day Contest. [link]

And the whole time I'm drawing it and looking at this photograph, I'm thinking "Boy, there's so much detail. How does God put so much detail in everything He makes?!"
I can't believe how many colors are on this turtle! :XD:
God made some really interesting creatures out there, so glory to God on this one.
I hope everybody likes it. God bless!

I totally agree; God made things so darn intricate, I find it difficult to believe that there are actually people like you who can portray those things so perfectly!

Well, it's not perfect, but it's as close as I can get. ^^"
God's just that good at makin' things.

I know; I'm staggered every time I stop to take a closer look at my monitor or leopard geckos. Both are lizards, but one kind is so fragile and delicate, and the other is big and tough. The diversity that He made is so amazing!

Oh, cool. Yeah.
I always wanted a lizard.

If you ever do decide to get one, I advise going for a leopard gecko or blue-tongued skink. :) Leopards are readily available, and generally around thirty dollars, unless you're buying a higher-end designer morph.

Yeah, I like the geckos. I have no idea what kind of characteristic they have though.
Do they like people? Can you have them on your shoulder like a bird? Or do they pretty much stay in their cages like a bunny?

You should check out my photos of my two leopard geckos that I have if you want some examples of the various leos out there. :) They are very gentle and lovable; they seem to genuinely enjoy being held most of the time. My two will curl up in my hand to sleep, and yes, they can rise on your shoulder as long as you're careful and don't jostle them at all. And keep an eye on them in case they decide to run. They're fun to handle, you just have to be gentle with them. But they aren't nearly as delicate as some other gecko breeds I know. This is a care sheet that gives a pretty clear idea of the keeping of leopard geckos. [link] And I'm planning on writing my own caresheet for them that includes less technical terms.

Thank you. I'm working on another one right now.
I want to try and paint this one, [link].
We'll see if it works or not. ^^;
